The Itinerary

Here is what the itinerary for our trip to Poland looks like:

May 17th. Depart from Cedar Rapids, Iowa regional airport for Chicago O'Hare airport. 9:55 pm flight from O'Hare to Warsaw, Poland direct.

May 18th. Land in Warsaw, Poland. Take flight from Warsaw to Poznan, Poland. Arrival: Approximately 5:15 pm Polish time. This is approximately 10:15 am US Central Standard time. Overnight in either Poznan or Mielno.

May 19th - 20th. Arrive in Mielno, Poland. This is a coastal community along the Baltic Sea. Attend WSKS (Polish Probation Officer Association)conference. Deliver short presentation on Burnout and Stress. We will also do some sightseeing in the Polish coastal communities of Mielno and Kolobrzeg.

May 21st -22nd. Travel to Poznan. Attend meetings in the District and Regional Courts in Poznan. We will also meet with current Chief Probation Officer Irena Szostak (Current President of WSKS and our hostess for this trip).

May 23rd. We will meet with students and faculty of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

May 23rd - 24th. These days will be spent sightseeing in Poland's Wielkopolska region. We are slated to visit the communities of Kornik, Rogalin, Puszcza Zielonka, Gniezno, and Lednica.

May 25th -26th. We return to Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. We will meet again with students and faculty. We will also visit a reformatory for juvenile offenders.

May 27th - 28th. Warsaw, Poland. We'll attend a conference as well as do some sightseeing in Poland's capital. We've been invited to the Ministry of Justice.

May 29th. Visit ends. Depart from Poland.

  1. hey mom! It's andrea. Dad couldn't figure out how to get a hold of you, but he wanted me to ask you what time you were scheduled to land here in Germany. We are trying to plan what to do and everything and it's important to know. Email dad if you can. Thanks!
